Sophie Elkins, MSW, ASW (she/her)
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, Staff Therapist
Sophie is a Los Angeles–based psychotherapist who works with older adolescents and adults to evolve self-image and challenge limiting beliefs. She supports those experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, and self-judgment, as well as people navigating complex relationships, life transitions, and betrayal trauma. Sophie also works with couples to deepen their understanding of relationship patterns and foster more open, attuned communication.
Sophie’s approach is collaborative, creative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens in safe, connected spaces. Drawing from her experience with diverse and vulnerable populations in both individual and group settings, Sophie helps clients explore the gray areas of their experiences with curiosity and compassion.
Sophie’s work is rooted in a humanistic, client-centered approach that builds on individual strengths while considering the broader context of each person’s life and relationships. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Sophie earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Justice from Chapman University and later her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Outside of working with her incredible clients, Sophie loves to sing and cuddle up with her two pups, Frank and Miso.
Sophie works with clients in-person in West LA and virtually with those located anywhere in the state of California.
Sophie is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW #115866) supervised by Brooke Schwartz (Licensed Clinical Social Worker #105459)
